Tabata Apps

Our team has created companion iPhone apps for people who train regularly using the Tabata protocol. Our criteria is to create apps that are easy to use and provides detailed statistics so that performance and fitness improvement can be measured.

In 2015, our team developed an algorithm that can measure Burpee and Bushup reps in real time using the sound patterns from the iPhone’s microphone while you’re exercising. This means we can now automatically track your reps in real-time so you can be free to just workout!

We’re constantly tweaking the algorithm to measure a broader number of exercises hands-free. Here are the current iterations of the app that are available on the Apple App Store:


 

90-Day Tabata Burpee Challenge

The 90-day Tabata Burpee Challenge app is simple, just do 4-mins worth of Burpees everyday for 90-days to complete the challenge. The app will automatically track your burpee reps using the sound from your microphone. It will count your burpee reps in real-time and make this data available for review in the “Stats” section.

Sounds easy to just workout 4-mins a day but the Tabata Burpees is one of the most challenging total body workouts. Its highly effective for burning fat and will by completing the challenge, you will make working out daily a lifelong habit!

90-Day Tabata Pushup Challenge

The 90-day Tabata PushUp Challenge is very similar to the 90-day burpee challenge but the tracking algorithm is optimised for tracking pushups instead of burpees.

As with the 90-day Burpee challenge, the objective is to do 4-mins of Pushups everyday for 90-days to complete the challenge. The app will automatically track your pushups using the sound from your microphone.

The Ultimate Burpee Counter

This app is the ultimate hands-free Burpee counter. It uses our proprietary tracking algorithm to count and track your reps using the microphone only. It will track your total reps for a given time interval (AMRAP) or it will act as an automatic stop-watch to track how long it takes you to perform a fixed number or Burpees. All of your workout stats are tracked and tabulated in the reports section for your review.

If you like doing Burpees, this app is the ultimate workout companion for you. You will get a complete record of your best times and best reps for Burpees. You know what they say, “if you can measure it, you can improve it!”.

Ultimate Pushup Counter

This app is the ultimate hands-free Pushup counter. Its very similar to the Ultimate Burpee Counter app except the tracking algorithm has been optimized to track pushups usage the microphone. It is far more accurate for measuring reps compared to other apps that use the proximity sensor or gyroscope. It will track your total reps for a given time interval (AMRAP) or it will act as an automatic stop-watch to track how long it takes you to perform a fixed number or Pushups. All of your workout stats are tracked and tabulated in the reports section for your review.
